Online Study Group - Eyes and Vision - with Bruce Stark
Our sense of vision provides significant proprioceptive feedback to our brains. The tracking and processing of visual stimuli are integral for our experience of balance, posture and movement. In fact, some sources say that up to 80% of proprioceptive information comes from our vision.
In this study group I want to explore the structures of the eyes, the neurological processes for interpreting visual impulses, and the relationship with movement and body awareness. I'll also investigate some of the visual dysfunctions that can occur and, as always, suggest ways that we can work with the structures of the eyes and their integral relationship to the experience of ourselves.
