Phase 4: Foundations
Phase 4: Foundations is where Ortho-Bionomy begins. It is required at least 4 times in the practitioner training program. This class is the foundation course for all courses in the extensive Ortho-Bionomy practitioner training. It presents the history, philosophy and concepts of Ortho-Bionomy, and teaches the fundamental release positions for: neck, thorax, lumbar, psoas, sacrum, ilium, ribs, clavicle, femur, knee, ankle, foot, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Movements and positions of comfort are demonstrated to facilitate the release of muscular tension and overall stress by stimulating the inherent, self-corrective reflexes of the body which help the body create structural alignment and balance from within. The work learnt in this class can dramatically increase your treatment effectiveness for releasing soft tissue tension and joint dysfunction, preparing you to either further consolidate, or to begin to develop, these skills with clients.
