Blending the phases- an online study group

We learn the phases of Ortho-Bionomy in separate classes, so students can incrementally gain the skills to recognise how their client is releasing imbalances.

We begin with Phase 4, learning how to assess and monitor with our hands. In Phase 4, as we offer compression, students begin to become aware of the rebound reflex. We learn that this is a sign that the body is responding and finding structural balance.
As students become more adept at noticing what they feel in their hands, the Phase 5 class explores many other ways in which the body reflexively responds. We refer to these responses to the stimulus we offer the body with the Phase 5 exercises, as the reflexes. Students in the Phase 5 class learn to understand and experience these reflexes as they emerge in the client. These include follow on, ongoing action, remembered emotional response, space between the notes, mood and timing. As the client has the opportunity to more fully express their responsiveness, self-correction optimises.

And it is these reflexes we are present with when we speak about contacting the aura in the Phase 6 class. In Phase 6 our contact is with the energy field supporting the client's physical body.

Then there is Phase 7. Something a little different again.

But when we feel competent, able to be present with each of these phases of the work, we can still feel unsure how they fit together.
Often, students ask: "How do I know which phase to use?" or "How do the phases fit together?" even "Is one phase better to use than another?"

While there are no definitive answers to these questions, no "one size fits all," my goal in this study group is to discuss possibilities and let you experience ways one phase can blend into another.
In this way, we learn to explore and offer different phases of Ortho-Bionomy through a session, such that the client is best met. Individualising a session in this way can optimise the client's opportunity to respond. Because it is through the client's response that self-correction occurs, for them. In this way, our client can find their best self.

In this study group, as we learn, we will practice some Ortho-Bionomy on ourselves. So there will be an element of self-care as well.

One of the crucial components of building an Ortho-Bionomy business is being able to convert someone who has never heard of Ortho-Bionomy to a client. If you can’t do this efficiently you will struggle financially. If you are struggling to create clients or intend to do Ortho-Bionomy as a full time business working on this skill is going to be enormously important. Apart from what you do during a session, being able to talk about Ortho-Bionomy is your most essential skill.
