Study Group: fundamentals of working with the neck
Janine's September's study group is the first of her new 'back to basics' series to explore the Phase 4-level release techniques for each body region. This month it's the neck - revising the neck indicator points and standard release positions as well as other ways to work with the neck from the Exploration of Movement, Posture and Post Techniques and Isometrics classes. Bring your copy of the Ortho-Bionomy manual by Kathy Kain and Jim Berns, and/or your favourite handbook from a Phase 4 class.
Janine's interactive workshop-format study groups offer lots of practical tips and plenty of time for questions and discussion. It's also a great way to connect with other Ortho students and practitioners between classes
Fee $35, duration 90 minutes. Participate live to receive a certificate for 1.5 units of training credit or annual CE points.
You'll receive the Zoom meeting link after you register. 1 Ortho-Bionomy class is the pre-requisite for all study groups.

In this class students will gain understanding, exploring and creating balance within the structures that hold us upright. Modern life tends to have us living in a fast-forward "lean" or in an overuse pattern. This creates structural disharmony, patterns of inefficient movement, pain, lack of movement and even rigidity. The aim of this class is to learn methods to notice these inefficient patterns of imbalance, learn ways to create freedom of movement, and ways to integrate these changes. ...
The September webinar presenter is Instructor and Advanced Practitioner Hugh Churchward. Hugh will be conducting an open question format. ...

Trauma Resolution with Bruce Stark - Adelaide
Accessing the Resources for Integration There are many ways in which the physiological and emotional components of unresolved trauma can remain held within the body's tissues and nervous system. For some people there is an unsettling in their body which isn't able to access the usual easing and calming responses that we would experience in a session. Sometimes the resources of the body to address trauma aren't available resulting in an exaggeration of the symptoms or distress. See More |
