Postural Re-education and Post Techniques. Instructor Karen Sonter
In this class students will gain understanding, exploring and creating balance in the structures that hold us upright.
Modern life often tends to have people living in a fast forward "lean" or in postural overuse. This creates structural disharmony, patterns of inefficient movement, lack of movement, pain, and rigidity.
The aim of this class is learning how to notice these inefficient patterns of imbalance, how to assist clients to regain freedom of movement, and ways to integrate the changes this freedom brings.
Postural work supports the work we learn in Phase 4/The Fundamentals of Ortho-Bionomy.
"If you don't want your clients to get well, don't do postural work," A.L. Pauls D.O.

Trauma Resolution with Bruce Stark - Adelaide
Accessing the Resources for Integration There are many ways in which the physiological and emotional components of unresolved trauma can remain held within the body's tissues and nervous system. For some people there is an unsettling in their body which isn't able to access the usual easing and calming responses that we would experience in a session. Sometimes the resources of the body to address trauma aren't available resulting in an exaggeration of the symptoms or distress. See More |
