Exploration of Movement Patterns with Janine McCarthy
In this class we explore the use of specific movement techniques for both assessment and treatment of acute and chronic tension patterns. You'll learn how to assess where movement is or is not available to the client, identify key areas of restriction and use gentle movement techniques to increase range of motion and flexibility in muscles and joints. Identify your client's preferred patterns of tension and postural habits and help them access more functional movements with less pain.
Exploration of Movement Patterns is open to beginners - so it's a great way to start your Ortho-Bionomy training and will make you eligible for all the following classes and trainings we have coming up this year. And if you've taken a Fundamentals/Phase 4 class, you'll find this is also the ideal follow-up to that class because it expands your toolkit with movement techniques to use when standard Phase 4 positions are uncomfortable or inaccessible for your clients.
The class includes a handbook covering all the content in both hard copy and pdf for future reference.

Consultations with Karen
As part of your tutorials, in the Practitioner Training program, a Consultation is one-to-one time that you arrange to spend with a Registered Instructor or Associate Instructor to discuss your own questions and concerns about any aspect of Ortho-Bionomy. Not all of the private discussions need to be with your advisor. This time spent discussing your training, or expanding your understanding of ways you work in your clinic, can really support and compliment what you learn in classes. See More |

It took me about 18 years to really get this piece nailed down, now I get about 70% conversion from talking about Ortho-Bionomy to a potential client to them booking a session. See More |
